Recruitment to WBMSART for rescue duties

As members work and family commitments are always changing, we find ourselves in the position of finding new recruits to replace those people that leave us.

Training to become a competent Mountain Rescuer is a demanding and long process, which requires a great level of commitment.

We are looking for people over the age of 18 with the following attributes.

• Active people with a good level of fitness.
• Basic map reading and navigation skills.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic life support. (ABC)
• Available to attend an intensive and demanding (but enjoyable!) training program starting in February 2008.

Joining a mountain rescue team is a commitment not to be taken lightly, if you have the required skills and are able to offer the commitment required please contact the secretary for an application pack.
