CALLOUT NEWS:
Last night we faced one of the most intense rescues we’ve had in a long time! At 2030 Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police requested assistance to the Pont Melin-Fach area to rescue a fallen male, as well as a female who had tried to reach him. After a considerable search to locate the pair a technical rescue was used to extract them from above. And we are so thankful to Brecon Mountain Rescue Team & Central Beacons Mountain Rescue for their support in what became very technical multi team rescue.

Both casualties were extracted safely by the teams and were later able to walk off the hill, escaping with only minor injuries. Our teams then stood down and headed for home around 02:00AM! Mountain Rescue England and Wales grough #WesternBeaconsMRT #Wales ITV Wales #Emergency#Charity #Volunteers

CALL OUT NEWS:
At 14:26 we received a request to rescue an injured teenager from the Hill side near Llyn-y-Fan-Fach. Unfortunately a teenager from a youth group had sustained a leg injury leaving her unable to safely get off the hill. Along with our colleagues from Brecon Mountain Rescue Team our volunteers responded to the call. The teenager was later lifted from the hillside by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter and taken to hospital for further medical attention. We wish her a speedy recovery.

At 11:28 today the team responded to assist Dyfed Powys Police in the search for a 70 year old male from Newport, Pembrokeshire, team members joined a large multi agency operation and at the time the team was stood down he still had not been located

CALLOUT NEWS:
At 11:40 we received a request from Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police to assist in the rescue of a vulnerable male stranded on Mynydd Carningli with a leg injury. The male is suspected to have been there for a few days. Our team arrived on scene and coordinated with Coastguard Helicopter to help extract the male from the mountain. He is now on his way to hospital for further medical attention. Big thanks also to volunteers from Brecon Mountain Rescue Team were enroute to attend before being stood down.

At 5:15pm we received a request from Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police to assist in a rescue at Henrhyd Falls, after a dog owner and their son got into difficulty. Our team lept to respond and we are happy to say that the dog and its owners were safely recovered. Here is our team Doctor, Alex with the very happily rescued pooch!
