Flood Rescue team includes nationally recognised and externally accredited Swiftwater Rescue Technicians (SRTs), trained to operate in some of the most dangerous and unpredictable environments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These skills allow us to support inland water rescues and assist during major flooding incidents, helping people when they are trapped, isolated, or in immediate danger.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Supporting Communities in Crisis<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We work alongside:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">South Wales Fire and Rescue Service<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Police and Ambulance Services<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Together, we help communities affected by severe weather and flooding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our responders are trained to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rescue people cut off by floodwater<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reach stranded vehicles and homes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Operate safely in fast-moving water<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support emergency evacuations<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When floodwaters rise, every minute matters, and our team is ready to respond.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Specialist Vehicles &amp; Equipment<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To support these operations, the team operates a dedicated water rescue vehicle, funded through a Big Lottery grant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The vehicle can deploy:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Six trained water rescue personnel<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specialist swift water rescue equipment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rescue sleds and flood response gear<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This capability allows us to respond rapidly and operate independently across the country wherever support is needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>More Than Mountain Rescue<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our Swift Water &amp;
