We have a wide range of skills in the team. Mountain Rescue is taking on more diverse roles across the country and we have several team members trained as Swiftwater Rescue Technicians (SRT).
Working together with the 2 local Fire and Rescue services the team is called upon to help with severe weather incidents. Rescuing people from flooded homes or trapped cars are just some of the skills the SRT’s have been trained for.
We also have a dedicated Water rescue vehicle which was purchased with a grant from the National Lottery.
