Western Beacons Mountain Rescue are respond when it matters most, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Every time the call comes, our team is ready.
Day or night. In darkness, driving rain, or freezing conditions. When someone is lost, injured, or in danger in the mountains, experienced volunteers drop everything to help bring them home safely.
But our role goes far beyond the mountains.
We search tirelessly for missing children and vulnerable adults—on the hills, along riverbanks, and in local communities—offering not only expertise, but compassion and reassurance to families in distress.
When rivers rise and floods hit, we are there too. Wading through fast-moving water and chest-deep floodwaters, helping rescue swimmers and kayakers, and supporting people facing the devastation of their homes.
